XV Rides “The Dark Horse” (Listen & Download)

Regular readers know that I don't usually post freestyles over popular beats, but considering this XV "Dark Horses" joint popped up in my inbox just minutes after I read the homey Richard's ridiculously in-depth breakdown of Kanye's classic album title track, I thought it must be a sign from the hip-hop gods.

It has to be said that Vizzy's pop culture heavy flow and less deep voice doesn't have the same impact as the original, but it's still one hell of an enjoyable ride. If you were looking for Jesse Ventura, "To Catch a Predator", Fonzi and Slick Rich references packed into one joint, than today is your lucky day. Enjoy.

The real question is; besides freestyles, what the hell if XV up to? Are we going to ever actually hear that "Kid With the Green Backpack", or is it slated to become the more indie version of "Detox"? Come on Warner Brothers, let's make it happen.

Brando	He dropped Vizzy Zone earlier this year so he HAS been doing stuff. Maybe not enough to get on that "prestigious" XXL freshman list next year though.

Randy Mercer	Actually funny you should ask Nathan, XV the Kid With the Green Backpack is now going to be his major label debut album.

Nathan S.	^^ @Brando "Vizzy Zone" was the "I recorded all this music I don't want the major label to have/they don't want, so before I sign I'll drop it" project. All that was in the can well before he signed. @Randy Mercer Exactly. I'm hoping Warner Bros. doesn't let the project sit and pushes to release it soon.

Randy Mercer	Hope they don't do that either, you know 'Atlantic Records' him. I guess We'll have to pray to the Hip-Hop Gods. He has like 3 drafts for TKWTGB I'm surprised hasn't leaked maybe that's a good sign?
