How does the saying go? More money mo problems. If you’re Wiz Khalifa you’ve got problems like dealing with a $2.7 million lawsuit from (completely unknown) PA rapper Maximillion, claiming that Wiz’ “Black & Yellow” was a rip off of Max’ 2008 song “Pink & Yellow”.
Sure, both songs have one thing in common (a color and another color) but they have one crucial difference: “Pink & Yellow” is atrocious, “Black & Yellow” is dope. We need to start a hip-hop court and appoint Judge Ed Lover to preside over cases like this. Really? C’mon son!
So far Wiz’ camp has essentially told Maximillion to go fuck himself, and I support that legal strategy entirely.
