Lil Wayne Victim of Terrible Racism...Or Not

This week Lil Wayne accused the Oklahoma City Thunder organization of racism after he was denied entry into the arena to watch Game 4 of OKC’s series with the Spurs. The reason? Racism, of course.

According to Wayne,“It’s the players stepping up [to apologize that he was denied entry], but of course the players aren’t white. I don’t want to be sitting there…and I’m sitting next to a (person) that’s like ‘I don’t want this (black guy) sitting next to me.’ Fuck you ... I’m in Forbes.”

God, it’s 2012, come on Thunder! Are you so racist and backwards that you won’t admit a black man into your arena? Jesus that’s fucked up.

Or….alternately…the Thunder said that Wayne showed up unannounced and demanded to be sat in court side seats. When told all the court side seats were sold out, Wayne stormed out of the building:

“We offered him other locations and probably could have accommodated him. We’ve had other celebrities courtside when it was available. In this case, for a playoff game, there were none available,” said a spokesman for the Thunder.

So I’ll let you be the judge RefinedHype Nation. Either Lil Wayne was the victim of racism, or he found out the hard way that in Oklahoma City, unlike Miami/L.A./New York City, the team doesn’t just kick their local fans out of courtside seats because a celebrity shows up.

Hmmmmm….I wonder which one it could be.
