I almost never do this - by which I mean I'm pretty sure I've never done this - but I'm about to post a mixtape from a group I've never really listened to. Then again, I can't remember a time when I've had so many folks hit me up saying, "Yo, have you heard this?" about a group I've never really listened to.

So fuck it, I'm posting and opening up the discussion to RefinedHype Nation. Apparently The Underachievers are part of the Beast Coast movement (beast x east coast) that I have only a tenuous grasp on (someone from NY can fill me in), they're signed to Flying Lotus' label, and...straight up, that's the extent of my knowledge. But enough people I trust are telling me this "Indigoism" mixtape is dope that I feel like I have no choice but to check it out.

I'm literally pressing play for the first time now, we'll all essentially be listening to this shit together. It's a lot of hype for some folks I'd never really heard of before last week, but who knows, maybe we've stumbled onto a gem.
