I'm very aware that this is a terrible thing for someone who makes his living off the interwebs to say, but this is how much I have love for y'all. It's Thanksgiving, turn off the computer. And/or it's Hanukkah, turn off the computer. Go spend some time with your family, eat yourself into a coma, watch some football, take a nap, whatever. Just unplug and enjoy a day off. (And if you don't have the day off, goddamn, my sincere sympathy.)

Since I practice what I preach, we're giving the mothership and RefinedHype staff a couple days off. We won't be posting on Thanksgiving or Friday; so that means no podcast this week or other delights, although we already put up an early edition of "Mystery Booty" and the "Weekly Re-Up".

As much as I can say this while knowing people in RefinedHype Nation work so much harder at jobs they hate - that was me not too long ago - we work fucking hard to give y'all the kind of creative dopeness you can't find anywhere else. And if we're going to stay dope instead of becoming content-posting digital robots, we need to occasionally disconnect and catch up on sleep too... 

...which feels like a perfect opportunity to say thank you. No, seriously, fucking thank you. We're building something great here, RefinedHype is becoming a major player in the rap interwebs, and we're doing it by breaking just about every (supposed) rule for digital success. You're the reason why this site is awesome and I get to feed my family doing something I love. I'll occasionally get pissy because I'm human, but I always try to remain grateful. I've literally spent days clearing out asbestos from construction sites and NOW MY JOB IS THIS AND THAT'S FUCKING RIDICULOUS AND THANK YOU.
