It Doesn’t Get Much Better Than Talib Kweli’s “It Only Gets Better”

Posted by Nathan S. on 05/08/13 | Filed under J. Cole, Talib Kweli, Marsha Ambrosius
Last night I wrote up a full album review for Talib Kweli's new "Prisoner of Conscious" album; it's a pretty damn good project, and my review doesn't completely suck either. You should read it.

But I wanted to do all the illiterate people out there in RefinedHype Nation a favor. Just in case you couldn't read when I called "It Only Gets Better" one of the doper songs I've heard in a minute, all you have to do is pretty that play button below and it should be immediately obvious.

We're talking J. Cole on a beat that's almost hypnotizingly rhythmic (bonus points for that bass line), some serious flows from Kweli, a little inspiration, and yet another beautiful hook from Marsha Ambrosius. If they don't make this shit a single, I don't know what they're doing. Which...I guess is exactly why I'm doing this post. I'd be a shame if this joint went unrecognized by people who didn't listen to the album.

Enjoy...
