You don't got to love him, but if you don't think Rick Ross' new album Mastermind wont make a splash your backpack is cutting off circulation to your brain. From guest spots, to club bangers of his own, to being the head-honcho at one of the bigger labels in rap, Ross is on of the more influential hitmakers in the game, so when he drops an album, the world listens. 2014 got off to a slow start but with Oxymoron and now Mastermind, the second big release of this year, things are starting to heat up.

I know Ross may not inspire excitement, but even admitted Rick Ross haters like myself will have a hard time not being curious thanks to features from Jay Z The Weeknd, and Kanye among others (French Montana and Diddy on the same track should be interesting at the very least). What really has me excited is the producers attached. DJ Mustard, Scott Storch, and Diddy handle what will be the more radio friendly cuts, but Ross also has Kanye, Bink!, the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League, and Jake One. Again, hate him all you want, but how many emcees can say they have those guys producing their albums?
