Melanie Fiona is “Gone & Never Coming Back” (Listen & Download)

As enjoyable as it may be at times, I swear I'm not in this game to talk shit (ok, except for that one time). Believe it or not, I actually love music, and so when I hear something that truly blows me away, I have to share. Despite appearances with The Roots, Melanie Fiona may not be at the forefront of the hardcore rap heads' minds, but I defy you to listen to her new leak "Gone & Never Coming Back" and tell me she's not one of the best new voices of our generation.

Yeah, I told you. Seriously, this woman's on some new school Aretha Franklin type stuff, and my expectations for Melanie's upcoming album "The MF Life" (which, it turns out, doesn't not actually stand for "The Motherf**king Life"), due out sometime in the vague future. So if you're feeling jaded about the state of music, just go ahead and take a moment to let "Never Coming Back" into your life. It's good to know someone still cares about making songs that will stand the test of time.
