Don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure Macklemore is the first ever rapper to release a song about his love of thrift shopping, and for that please give that man a cookie. Actually, scratch that. He released a surprisingly dope song about thrift shopping, so please give that man an entire cookie cake straight from the oven of Mrs. Fields herself.

Amidst Macklemore's mentions of vintage threads is fellow Northwesterner Wanz who provides the record with its bassy hook. As expected, Ryan Lewis lends his production talents to "Thrift Shop" as he blesses the song with a hefty dose of horns.

As if "Thrift Shop" wasn't already pretty entertaining, Macklemore's description of the song is absolutely hilarious. After referring to himself as the Bob Barker of fringe jackets he goes on to give PETA a little message about his fur game:

"Tell PETA my Mink, Fox, Rabbit, Coyote, and Hungarian Raccoon jacket are ALL dragging on the floor. And I don’t mean that in a disrespectful way. I love my animals. But they’re dead...Those animals have now migrated from some old lady’s closet, to a thrift shop and are now getting their proper shine, up to 40 years later."

Again, give that man a cookie.
