Sweet baby jesus it's been a busy 24 hours for Kid Cudi. Yesterday the original Mr. Solo Dolo announced that he was departing the green pastures of G.O.O.D. Music for his own ventures. I don't think anyone can say they saw it coming, but it's not exactly surprising. Cudi genuinely seems to be re-examining every facet of career - last year he split with long time partners Plain Pat and Emile Haynie - so a change in labels couldn't be far behind:



Unfortunately for Bossip, it looks like there's not going to be much drama to report, both sides sound genuinely cool with the situation. Honestly, I don't know how much it will affect Cudi. More than anyone else on G.O.O.D. Music, he's already operating the most independently. Take Big Sean out of G.O.O.D. and you've got a huge change. Cudi, not so much.

Case in point, today he dropped snippets of every track off his upcoming "Indicud" album, due out April 23. (Justin Timberlake says he should eventually stream the whole thing, not snippets, but whatever.) It's obviously hard to tell from this musical appetizer platter, but I've got a feeling this could turn out to be one of Cudi's best albums.

Only time will tell. In the meantime, enjoy...
