This Kendrick Lamar & Imagine Dragons “Radioactive (Grammy Remix)” Is DopePosted by Lucas G. on 01/27/14 | Filed under Kendrick Lamar, Grammys, New Music |

I could have told you that Macklemore would win Best Rap Album and pretty much every award (because why would they, you know, get something right?), I could have told you Taylor Swift would have done something annoying; I could not have told you that Kendrick and Imagine Dragons would have stolen the Grammy's (at least in my mind). Kendrick didn't win any awards, but that didn't stop him from winning the Grammy's. The man came out guns blazing on his live performance and absolutely killed it.
I was expecting some awesome drums (that's about all I know about Imagine Dragons), but that was absolutely ridiculous. Just an incredible performance. Even though I knew he was gonna get fucked over, I was still disappointed Kendrick didn't get recognized. I was bummed (seeing Pharrell rocking the exact same hat I was going to wear out next weekend didn't help), but I'll survive because now, just hours after the performance, Kendrick and Imagine Dragons dropped an official remix.
I was trying to place that last verse Kendrick did (because it's fucking bananas) but couldn't figure it out. Well, that's because it is part of the brand spanking new remix. It might not be his best technical verse, but Kendrick's passion is on another level; he could legitimately be a frontman for a rock band. I love the progression of his verse. It starts out normal but keeps building and building till he goes insane; it's perfect for the epic, cascading vibe of the song.
So K Dot didn't win, but TDE fans everywhere aren't going home empty handed; a dope Kendrick verse on one of the biggest song of the year should help ease the pain. Enjoy! Kendrick Lamar is a force Grammy or no Grammy. You can buy it here or find it pretty much everywhere else for the next three months.
