Kanye West, Pusha T, CyHi Da Prynce & Keri HIlon “Take One for the Team” (Listen & Download)

I've been reminded of two things throughout Kanye West's incredibly successful and influential "Good Friday" series. One, he's still a d-bag. Two, he's a hip-hop genius. (Note, those two things are probably related.) Even when he's clearly just f**king around in his spare time Yeezy makes doper music than 99% of the population. Of course I'm talking about this week's offering, "Take One for the Team".

Over a grimy, beatbox inspired beat that will be the backing for 10,000 freestyles within the next 24 hours, Ye, Pusha T, CyHi Da Prynce and Keri Hilson all offer their own spin on taking one for the team. In In Kanye's case that means taking shit about women's bodywash (ok, that doesn't fit the theme at all), in Pusha's it means taking a gun or drug charge for a friend (someone call T.I.), in Cy's convincing Big Sean to run wingman and scoop up the ugly friend, and in former MBOW Keri's case it means...um....letting someone from G.O.O.D. Music fuck her? Is that right?

We're all adults here right? Kanye's original artwork for "Take One for the Team" was First 48ed by the label, so he had to replace with the artwork above. Fuck censorship. The artwork below is for Kanye's "Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" album, which he says Def Jam banned because they're worried outlets like Walmart won't stock it. Def Jam says it didn't "ban" the artwork, just "highly discouraged" it. Either way, crazy visuals below.
