Gucci Mane Covers The Source, We Breakdown (Translate) His Interview

Earlier this week it was revealed that Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane would serve as the artist on the next issue of The Source magazine. On the cover of the mag Gucci stands between two ladies who ironically are NOT licking his ice cream cone tattoo. There’s of course a cover story with Gucci, but unfortunately a number of people don’t speak “Gucci Mane” so they’ll be left in the cold. But on the plus side we were able to decode a few of Gucci’s quotes from his Source interview.

"I'm so big in Atlanta right now, I can't even go outside. It never used to be like this. Now old people, white people, all people know who I am. Like people almost wrecking their car to take a picture of my car."
Translation: I don’t want to get robbed so I stay inside and play soccer on my XBox Kinect. And when I do go outside I usually have to watch out for the old, white ones.

"The critics and bloggers ridicule and scrutinize [but] it fuels my fire."
Translation: I heart RefinedHype.com.

"I was always a smart guy. I always prided myself on being a challenger and making challenging decisions. I'm not perfect, but I definitely try my best to be a good person that makes wise decisions."
Translation: My publicist told me that I need to start referring to my extraordinary intelligence more often. Oh, and I have an ice cream cone tattoo.

“Yesterday, I’m in my Ferrari, I get pulled over, the cop comes to the car and says, ‘Sorry, I just wanna see the inside of your Ferrari.’ I swear to God.”
Translation: While riding in my Mustang people are sometimes attracted to the lemonade-colored interior.

“When I came out of school, I had a 3.4 GPA.”
Translation: At the school I went to the maximum GPA was a 10.0.
