Meet Khaliyl Iloyi, The Future Best Rapper Alive

Posted by Lucas Garrison on 09/19/13 | Filed under General Awesomeness, Rap Nerdery

You see it all the time in famous athletes or singers, pictures or video of them at an absurdly young age performing at a level completely unheard of for their age. For me, the lasting image of these kinds of prodigies is Tiger Woods crushing balls with a perfect swing when he was 2 years old; his swing back then was better than mine is now. He didn’t hit the ball far, because he’s only like 4 but you can tell he is going to be something special. Well now rap has its hip-hop prodigy. Allow me to introduce Khaliyl Iloyi, rap game Tiger Woods.

Obviously the lyricism isn't there (it's mostly gibberish), but this kid is, by every definition, a prodigy. It’s cute and its funny, but it is also pretty impressive. For a kid whose brain is not even close to fully developed, he's clearly grasped the concept of the beat and definitely has a flow. And flow is one of those things that can’t be taught, either you have it or you don’t, and this kid definitely has it. His flow seems so natural and instinctive; once he gets a vocabulary he is going to be a problem. He isn’t the only prodigy in the family either; his brother is a producer. Pretty incredible that two kids form the same family have the gift; I’m sure they were given a mic at birth and “Can I Kick It” was their lullaby. Here are the two in the studio together. See you in 15 years, Khaliyl.
