French Montana Recruits A New Batch Of “Freaks” For The Song’s Sketchy Remix (Listen & Download) Posted by Danielle Harling on 04/25/13 | Filed under Downloads, French Montana

I will admit that French Montana and Nicki Minaj's "Freaks" has grown on me just a little bit, but I was hoping for a little more growing before we'd be hit with a rapper-filled remix of the clubby record. On "Freaks (Remix)," Montana recruits a slew of talent including Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Wale, Mavado, and DJ Khaled. The latter of which unsurprisingly incorporates a ton of unnecessary yelling on the song.

In an odd turn of events, I feel that any mild appreciation for the original version of the song has been ruined by the "Freaks (Remix)." There really is a lot going on here. You've got DJ Khaled shouting out random cities for no apparent reason, Rick Ross referring to himself as a "Big Belly Rude Boy," and Wale dropping one of those verses that immediately results in palm to forehead disdain. It really is quite tragic.

Where is Snoop Lion to intervene in this "reggae" travesty?
