It's been a long time coming, but we've finally been hit with a new collaboration between Interscope Titans 50 Cent and Eminem. Oh, and Adam Levine. The latter is a bit random, but you can't be mad at his pop-infused, hook-friendly vocals. The trio's record, "My Life" is one of those songs you have to listen to a few times in order to fully absorb it. Overall, it is a pretty dope song though. And on top of that it's a dope song that somehow manages to balance its rugged, Hip-Hop edge with poppy, mainstream appeal.

50 Cent's first verse on the S1-produced record had the momentum behind it to really go places, but it was just entirely too brief. Fifty does end up bringing back the intensity though for his second go around on "My Life" and drops a pretty mean verse to conclude the record. And in between 50 Cent's verses, Eminem gifts listeners with an aggressively animated verse which still manages to be a highlight of the song despite some choppy editing of a few f-bomb's and other vulgar delights.

My only minor gripe with the song is that I was hoping it'd be a little grittier, but with Adam Levine on the hook all grittiness was apparently left on Front Street.
