Classic Hate: The Internet Hates on Eminem

Posted by Lucas G. on 11/05/13 | Filed under Humor, Opinion, Eminem, Classic Hate

The internet is an amazing space for people to come together, share information, learn new things to broaden your horizons...and of course irrationally hate and criticize anything and everything for nothing more than their own private enjoyment. For every one intelligent person that uses the internet in the proper way, there are about 5,000 people only looking to piss off people they will never meet or have any sort of relationship with that doesn’t involve discussing how many times they have slept with each others mothers.

The phrase “anonymity breeds contempt” has never been more apt than when discussing “Classic Hate”. On this, the second installment of the new series (after last weeks “Juicy”) we celebrate the hate on Eminem to honor his new release. While "MMLP2" is not beyond criticism, I think it's safe to say the first LP is a classic, and although it isn’t perfect, it certainly deserves better then the treatment from these folks who have been sippin on a Big Gulp of haterade:

From Amazon Reviews of the Marshall Mathers LP
Chris Roth: "His cd was so offensive to the beautiful Christina agulara and to his wife kim and women and gay men it makes me wish i didn't buy it. The only good song on there is stan... But that isn't that good so if your out there and thinking of not buying it don't bother"
This dude's priorities are in the right order. A song about killing his wife in front of his daughter and dropping homophobic slurs like it ain’t no thing? Offensive, yes, but how dare he even mention the beautiful Christina “Agulara”? Has he no shame? Does his moral depravity know no bounds? Oh the humanity of it all!!!! Leave Christina alone!!!!!

“The Way I Am” Video:
Ryan Alberg: “Very good lyrics however the vocals on the recording seemed to be projected with anger makes it less appealing.”
I don’t even know how to respond to this. Saying you don’t like Eminem because he is angry is like saying you don’t like ice cream because it is cold. Hate to see what happens when he comes across “Kim”. If this the first Eminem song he's heard, he's in for a world of hurt later on.

Speaking of “Kim”
Molly M:  “Man, this is so fucked up. What Kim did was wrong. But Em had also cheated on her before. I'm not saying what she did justified him hooking up with the other girl because it happened before. I'm just saying that Kim was only able to vent about it to her friends and family. Eminem managed to get most of his supporters to fucking hate her with a passion. He had an army of angry people and her? Well, she was alone up there. Recording the song is a good way to vent but releasing it? Damn.”
Molly on some Dr. Phil shit. I love her in-depth relationship analysis. Looking back I guess Eminem did overreact a little bit by killing Kim, I mean it’s not like he was the perfect husband; he acted way to hastily. Next time he should take a look in the mirror and see what he did wrong before putting the blame on Kim. The way she gathers and asses information from a fictional song really makes you think.

"Stan" Video:
Mark Butier: He needs to stop raping his rap doesn't sound as good as it used to
First off, I’m going to assume he meant “rapping” not “raping”… now that we have that cleared up, nothing is cleared up. This dude has some serious time issues. Is he saying that Eminem from 2001 isn’t as good of a rapper as he used to be? Or is he saying that Eminem now isn’t as good as he was back then? I think what he really means that present day Em is going back in time and re-recording old songs that he already did in the past, so they don’t sound as good; rap game "Inception". Mark Butier just blew our minds…that just happened.

Steel Halo: Her voice is so annoying.
Perfect way to describe one of the most recognizable hooks of the past decade. I couldn’t put my finger on the proper adjective to describe Dido’s voice but Steel Halo definitely nailed it. Her smooth, heavenly voice which is a great contrast to the dark, gruesome tone and lyrics is definitely annoying and in no way hauntingly beautiful or very unique at all.

Yekania Herrand: I think I know the real meaning behind the song. He's constantly having a battle with his alter ego, Slim Shady who is in the Illuminati and he wants to get rid of him but it's harder than he thinks.
Illuminatiiiiiiiiiii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So there you have it amidst the "Fuck Vevo" comments and the "Check out my Pound Cake freestyle video" pleas, there is some pretty good hate. We even got one Illuminati theory. No "Classic Hate" analysis is complete without at least one Illuminati theory. The Internet is a big place and I am only one man so if you find any legendary hate tid-bits, point 'em out!
