East Coast Rising: Bodega Bamz “Navy” (Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 02/07/13 | Filed under Downloads, Bodega Bamz

I already posted some Flatbush Zombies, and some Joey Bada$$, so fuck it, let's just make it all new era NYC rap day on RefinedHype and throw up this Bodegz Bamz "Navy".

For the record, it looks like even the NYC folks can't completely agree on who's a part of this Beast Coast movement happening, but labels don't really matter. The only thing that matters is that there's some really dope, really creative hip-hop coming out of the Big Apple right now, and I'll count Bodega Bamz amongst that group.

There's no gimmicks on this new "Navy" joint, no flashy shit, nothing shiny. Just some of that raw, intense rhyming style that's still the trademark of east coast hip-hop. I'm still just beginning to listen to Bamz, but with shit like "Navy" dropping I'm intrigued enough to keep listening to more; at the very least I'm going to give his last album, "STRICTLY 4 MY P.A.P.I.Z.", a quick spin.

Enjoy...
