I don't know exactly why, but I'm saltier than Mortons today, and it seems like a lot of other folks are too. Maybe it's the bullshit government shut down, maybe the planets are just aligned negatively, fucking whatever. But the good news is that music is always there to make life better, and when I need to make my life better, I turn to "Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star". And who am I to keep all that dopeness to myself. So here's the entire album for your listening pleasure.

If like me you've been listening to Black Star for well over a decade now, you already know what it is. Welcome back. And if you're never heard Black Star before, welcome, I truly hope you fall in love. I'm not one of these older heads who brings out the "you haven't listened to [insert classic hip-hop album here]!?!?!?!?!?" Instead of berating younger folks and complaining the culture is dying, how about we just play the classic shit for them like non-assholes? That sounds like a much better plan.

Rawkus pushed them to do a full project together and they agreed, they had no idea it'd take off the way it did. That's a big reason why it's been so hard to get another Black Star album. As far as both Mos and Kweli were concerned, this was always meant to be a one-off venture. Enjoy....
