Quick Hit: I’d Punch My Grandma to Hear Black Star & Common Perform “Respiration” (Video)

We live in an age of hyperbole and exaggeration - everything's the greatest ever minutes after it happens, so let me be clear. I'm not exaggerating when I say Black Star's "Respiration" is one of my favorite songs ever. Ever, of all-time, ever. Definitely makes the Top Ten list, maybe even the Top Five.

Which means that I would punch my grandmother to hear the original line-up - Mos Def, Talib Kweli and Common - perform the track live. Luckily for my grandma I'm in L.A. and the aforementioned reunion went down in Chicago last night. You're safe for now Nana.
