The Best Darn Beyoncé “Run The World (Girls)” Video Breakdown

If there’s one thing Beyonce can do extremely well it’s build a tremendous amount of hype (oh and dances involving the use of her hips and thighs). She had folks on the edge of their seats last night waiting for the release of the music video for her song “Run The World (Girls).” Personally, I think the hype was well worth it and the video made for one hell of a video breakdown.



0:04 – Look, it’s Beyoncé on a horse. Unfortunately, after the filming of this video that horse’s beautiful mane became a part of Beyoncé’s next weave.

0:28 – It’s female hipster Jesus.

0:32 – A lion?! A friggin’ lion?! Wow. I see you Beyoncé.

0:33 – For the world to be in ruins these women are quite stylish.

0:41 – That stylish headdress Beyoncé is sporting can now be purchased at select Urban Outfitters.

0:48 – I love how this is men vs. women and the fact that the women are clearly gonna beat the men’s ass’ whether it be through a dance-off or a good ol’ fashioned beat down.

0:51 – I was really hoping for a beat down, but it looks like a dance-off it is.

0:53 – It’s like a seizure meets the Bankhead Bounce.

1:03 – Beyoncé’s man slaves don’t look too happy. They must not be feeling their hipster meets tribal wear attire.

1:15 – Wait! Is Beyoncé wearing 2-inch heels?! Blasphemy!

1:23 – Are you guys trying to learn the choreography yet? I think I have that seizure/Bankhead Bounce move down.

1:53 – Beyoncé isn’t too convincing with her strangling. She should probably watch more “Law & Order: SVU.”

1:56 – OMG! Hyenas though?! Wow. I think I just flashed back to the time I was stranded in the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and almost mauled by a pack of blood hungry hyenas. (P.S. That didn’t really happen.)

1:57 – Does anyone think the animals were digitally added or do you think they were actually there on set?

2:18 – I wonder if she borrowed those shoes from Lady Gaga.

2:50 – I don’t think these men are ready for a dance off. Tsk tsk.

3:11 – Ladies, we are not going to do this laying down leg dance in the club. And no, that is not a suggestion.

3:29 – Ha! It’s the Stanky Leg!

3:38 – Amidst all the chaos Beyoncé and her dance troupe have still managed to change outfits 82 times.

4:51 – Now that’s what I call an entertaining video. I was really hoping to see an elephant though. Oh well.
