Apollo Brown & Guilty Simpson Have a “Reputation” for Dopeness (Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 11/06/12 | Filed under Downloads, Guilty Simpson, Apollo Brown

Once the standard method for making every album, the one producer x one emcee album became an endangered species for most of the 2000s. But over the last two years we've seen a resurgence of producer/emcee collaborations, including Apollo Brown and Guilty Simpson motherfucking killing their dual "Dice Game" project.

Don't believe me, listen to this new "Reputation" joint. For the beat Apollo flips Jay-Z's "Where I'm From", while Simpson offers up more of the straight ahead, no nonsense rhymes we've come to expect from the Detroit set (with the exception of Big Sean). Oh fucks yeah.

If you're really in the mood for some producer/rapper collab goodness, you can check out the pair's "Dice Game" album, out now via Mello Music Group. Enjoy...

UPDATE: You can now stream the entire album here.
