These days, all you see and hear on the news is about which country is on the brink of war, the economic crisis and other information that drives fear into your everyday life. I’m tired of hearing nothing but bad news, that’s why I decided to write about positive and inspiring stories that are overlooked by the mainstream media in "It's All Good". This week....

109-year-old Alice Herz-Sommer, who is the oldest living pianist and Holocaust survivor, is undeniably one of the most inspiring people in the world. There is now a new documentary called “The Lady In Number 6”, which tells her incredible story from beginning to end.

"Every day in life is beautiful," Herz-Sommer says in the video. "Every day. It's beautiful."

The 38-minute documentary is directed by Malcom Clarke and produced by Nicholas Reed, and has already been shortlisted for the Academy Awards’ documentary short subject category, according to the LA Times.

“Kids all over the world grow up on superheroes," Reed writes on the documentary's website. "What we, their parents, must remind them, is documentaries tell stories about ‘real superheroes.' Superheroes are based on great people, real people, like Alice Herz-Sommer. “

Despite everything that Alice has gone through in her life, she has always remained optimistic, and she has never let herself hate anything, even the Nazis, and never will. "I have lived through many wars and have lost everything many times -- including my husband, my mother and my beloved son," she says on the documentary website. "Yet, life is beautiful, and I have so much to learn and enjoy. I have no space nor time for pessimism and hate.”
