There aren't a lot of movies I can say I'm legitimately excited to see, but "42" is one of them. Jackie Robinson's struggle to integrate baseball, and by extension the larger society, is one of the most American stories I could imagine. It's almost impossible to imagine the courage that Robinson, and to a lesser extend but also crucially his manager Branch Rickey, displayed by simply taking the field. And by all accounts the movie truly captures that spirit.

The movie comes out on April 12, but I'm hooking up two members of RefinedHype Natin with tickets to attend the red carpet premiere of "42" in L.A. on Tuesday April 9. Yep, you read right, the red carpet premiere. It's kind of a big deal.
