This “Secret History of Kobe Bryant’s Rap Career” Article is FantasticPosted by Nathan S. on 04/15/13 | Filed under Top Stories, Opinion |
Kobe Bryant has done such an effective job burying his rap past that it now seems like his foray into the music business was only a half-hearted, spare time endeavor. That's certainly the impression I had, but thanks to Grantland's "The Secret History of Kobe Bryant's Rap Career", I now know that's not the case at all.
Considering he's one of the most homicidal competitive men to ever play basketball, it should be no surprise that Kobe didn't take his rap career lightly. We're talking a long history of freestyling, extensive coaching from Steve Stoute, a multi-million dollar deal with Sony, a fully completely album, "Visions", that was ultimately shelved after his first single flopped and a group called CHEIZAW.
Holy sweet baby jesus, how is it possible I didn't know any of this before? I highly recommend you read "The Secret History of Kobe Bryant's Rap Career" for yourself. Enjoy...
