80’s babies that grew up in urban cities nationwide love hip-hop, and our fashion sense reflects that. For us leather jackets probably compliment each outfit, and snap backs and fitted caps match every hue. We wear sneakers with everything that fits our aesthetic – from work to the club. The problem is, most venues won’t allow entry to partygoers who rock sneakers, so more than likely you’d have to wear a dressier shoe in order to gain access. But if you’re anything like me, casual attire is more your style and everything else is out of your element. So how can you solve this issue without comprising your individuality? You don’t!

Thanks to marketing executives like Steve Stoute and artists like Swizz Beatz, brands like Reebok are catering to consumers who are part of that culture. They understand that sporting sneakers daily are a way of life, so offering more versatile looks are essential. As they continue to re-invent their products, fans can expect new styles to be dropping very soon.

The Dibello Mid Stud is a new style that Reebok developed for 2012, which will be out this February. The shoe features a dressier silhouette than what you might expect from Reebok Classics. The high top sneaker with double Velcro strap closures adorned with black studs, and has hints of suede at the collar and toe with a white cup sole.

Studs on a sneaker will have to grow on me – especially after seeing the three color ways – black, grey and red. Available at select retailers such as Jimmy Jazz and Finish Line, the shoes cost $90. Personally, the studs look better on brighter colors rather than dark, and the price should be lower given the basic design, but I’ll let the Refined Hype Nation be the judge of that.
