The Kickdrums’ “Want My Blood” Makes Me Want to Do Illegal Things (Listen & Download) Posted by Nathan S. on 02/13/12 | Filed under Downloads, Punch a Kitten Music, Rockie Fresh, The Kickdrums

I almost feel a little bad for The Kickdrums. Up until the moment "Big Beast" dropped their new joint "Want My Blood" was my banger of the day, even considering the new Freddie Gibbs joint. Holy sweet baby jesus this beat gets into the marrow of your bones and makes you want to do bad things. The rhyme power of "Big Beast" elevates it over "Blood", but that doesn't mean I won't be punching a kitten to this shit at the first opportunity.

And before the Twitter beef banshees start howling, that's not a shot at Rockie Fresh. He's a perfectly solid emcee, but you're telling me Killer Mike wouldn't have made this some otherworldly shit? Come on now. I'm officially stoked for the release of the Kickdrums' "Follow the Leaders" project, out sometime before "Detox".

Enjoy...and yep, I just created a new "Punch a Kitten Music" tag. It's a whole thing now.)
