We've gone over this before. There's really no formula for what songs I choose to post. Some shit I just don't feel, some shit I do. Maybe there's just one line in the track that catches my ear, maybe I've got a good joke about it, or maybe the beat just gets stuck in my head.

This Rockie Fresh "Superman OG" is the latter. Rockie's rhymes are solid here, no hate, but this beat? For some reason this shit has been stuck in my head all day. It's that Southern slow trap sound with some experimental layers - it sounds like the snare is actually a lighter snapping. Word to Lunice on that beat, now this is the kind of shit I'd really want to hear like five dope rappers take a shot at. Someone call The Fat Guy Who Yells and have him put it together. (Joking, please don't call the fat guy who yells.)

Rockie's "Electric Highway" album is set to drop on January 21. If the beat selection on the project is anything like "Superman OG", I'll definitely be checking it out. In the meantime, enjoy...

Update: Considering how much I like the production, I should probably check out Lunice's instrumental album, huh?
