Rockie Fresh Attempts To “Reach For The Stars” With Help From Frank Ocean (Listen & Download) Posted by Danielle Harling on 08/28/12 | Filed under Downloads, Frank Ocean, Rockie Fresh

I know it's a hell of a comparison, but Rockie Fresh's latest record "Reach For The Stars" is a lot like that eight-year-old kid who woke up this morning and said to himself, "I'm going to be an astronaut, lawyer, and a T-Rex (at the same damn time)." That being said the record is kind of all over the place. There's some techno thrown in the mix, there's some R&B courtesy of Frank Ocean, and there's of course a nice dose Hip-Hop. There's just entirely too much going on on "Reach For The Stars."

I really do want to like the song. It's got the whole positive message thing going and both Ocean and Rockie's portions of the song are decent, but that one part where the song goes all LMFAO, "everyday I'm shufflin" around the 0:35 mark kinda kills it for me. While "Reach For The Stars" may not have been on point I am curious as to what else Rockie can cook up musically.
