Eff An Air Force One…Is Nike On The Verge Of Releasing The Nike Air Mag? (Video)

I'm sure most sneakerheads with a penchant for 80's flicks are probably still passed out on the floor right now after watching this mysterious video that surfaced this week. The video features a room filled with Nike Air Mag sneakers from the movie "Back To The Future II." On top of the video Nike sent out invites to a media event taking place later today that promises to "change the course of time."

So are we on the verge of rocking Nike Air Mag's that tie themselves? I strongly doubt it. I'm sure Nike has something up their sleeves, but that ain't it. Maybe they plan on releasing a line of sneakers that are replicas of the Nike Air Mag, but we're a long ways away from something that groundbreaking. We don't even have flying cars yet. There's no robot folding my clothes and painting my nails. But I think Nike did do a great job of garnering a little buzz for themselves and awaking the 80's kid in us all.
