Has Designer Jeremy Scott Gone Too Far With His Latest Collection For Adidas? (Pics)Posted by Danielle Harling on 06/01/12 | Filed under Sneakers, Adidas |
Designer Jeremy Scott has released some pretty wild collaborations with Adidas, but I think this latest collection takes the cake. The collection features three very different looking kicks which include a pair of high-tops, boots, and even a pair of wedge sneakers. As much as I want to hate the high-top sneaker with a teddy bear attached to it I just can't. I think it has something to do with the warm smile on the bears face or the inviting way his arms seemed perched and ready for a hug. Damn you you retro, floral teddy bear!
I personally believe that wedge sneakers are absolute monstrosities and all the high-end designers in the world wouldn't be able to change my opinion of them. So yes, I think Scott's wedge sneaker is an absolute eyesore. Now the boot on the other hand? I'm actually feeling this addition to Scott's collection. I think it's a combination of the green and purple and the faux alligator print that makes this pair of boots really stand out. And they don't seem too over the top like the rest of the collection.
Expect Scott's collection to hit Adidas retailers in August.
