Shop Boyz - "Rockstar Mentality"
When “Party Like a Rockstar” the media started cranking out articles about how “hood rock” was going to be the next big trend to sweep music. Yeah, not so much.
Holy balls their album “Rockstar Mentality” was unlistenable. It literally sounds like the label told them “don’t worry about it, just throw whatever tracks you have laying around onto the album. It won’t matter, as long as “Party Like a Rockstar” is on it.” As I wrote in my original mothership review, this album is why people think hip-hop is dead.
Side note: Did you know that the Shop Boyz went on the release a collaborative album with C-Murder? Yeah, C-Murder. That really happened.
