(Nope, I have no idea who Ganghis Khan [the rapper] is, and don't endorse his music. But I do endorse his choice of mixtape titles and cover art.)

Believe me, there aren't many people on the planet who spend more time obsessing over, and writing about, ridiculous shit than me. But as much as the rap interwebs can become my sole focus, it isn't actually the most important thing in the world. (Shocking, but true.) So over the holidays I'm going to spend some much needed time with the family, and I hope you do the same.

I'll be back in full effect on Monday, January 7. In the meantime I'll post if something really grabs my attention, maybe even throw up a solo podcast, but mostly I'll be making sure my daughter doesn't know me as "that guy who's always staring at a computer."

That might be too honest, and I'm sure a lot of people reading this won't give a fuck, but if I've learned anything from RefinedHype Nation it's that y'all just want honesty, so I thought I'd be honest. Happy holidays and, again, thank you for supporting RefinedHype. It's ridiculous that I get to do this for a living, I promise even bigger and better ridiculousness in 2013.
