It never ceases to amaze me how much some Hip Hop artists pride themselves on their sense of fashion. Gone are the days when a pair of Timberland’s and a sports jersey was sufficed. When it comes to both Hip Hop and fashion one particular artist always seems to come to mind, Chi-Town’s own Kanye West. As one of Hip Hop’s biggest fashion icons we thought it’d be interesting to take a look at Kanye’s fashion evolution based on the release of his albums.

You could honestly add another category called "G.O.O.D. Music," because whenever he has G.O.O.D. involved he makes sure he (and everyone else near him) is pushing his "rosewood" movement which is basically a plain suit and tie. I kinda like that Kanye. Classy, but still looks pretty confident, and well, cocky, like he wants to. |

I HATED the mullet. I don't think it's any coincidence that that's the look they used on South Park to make fun of Kanye. The Rosewood style is my favorite. |

I don't know which is worse, the mullet or the shutter shades. And The Rosewood look was pretty nice. |

Id throw in that Late Regisration was pretty wack, but that 70s suit thing was kind of the look at the time - everyone from Lebron to Jay was rocking it. |

I agree with all of these lol. On Graduation, the glasses is the only thing that looks off, and Late Registration looks like he was trying a bit too hard. He was always well dressed though, but LR looks just more expensive, and then after that... I guess 808s was the worst by far no matter what I've seen. I wonder what the Watch the Throne outfits are gonna look like. |
