I’m always wary when calling out a legitimately dope emcees. There’s always the chance that this is secretly an incredibly dope line if you know the reference, but until someone offers a convincing explanation….what?
Are people from Liberia notoriously mute? Is he saying he literally can’t hear you because he’s in Detroit, and you’re in Liberia, and those places are way too far apart for someone to hear another person talking? Or did Royce just get himself stuck rhyming “beer” and could only get out of it with “Liberia”? Frankly, my money’s on the last one.
