Balls Crazy North Korea Launches Balsa Wood Rocket

I don’t usually delve into international politics, but considering that this was one of the biggest fails imaginable….

Just yesterday the leaders of always balls-crazy North Korean regime invited a host of international journalists to witness the launch of a new half a billion dollar rocket. The launch was intended to demonstrate N. Korea’s rising status as a world military power that should be feared.

Yeah, not so much. According to the NY Times, almost immediately after launch:

“...the satellite disintegrated in a different kind of fireworks. The rocket carrying it exploded midair about two minutes after the liftoff…The rocket and satellite, which cost the impoverished country an estimated $450 million to build, splintered into many pieces and plunged into the gray blue waters of the Yellow Sea. “
