The hip-hop world was stunned this week when Birdman signed washed up rapper/rocked Fred Durst and his band Limp Bizkit to Cash Money. But after hearing Birdman explain his decision to bring Durst into the YMCM family it actually all makes sense:

“He’s a visionary, he a great artist,” Birdman said of Durst. “Also, I want him to be a part of our staff and take over the rock department and bring us over more talent because that’s what he does. I think with having Limp, he brings a lot.”

Naw, I’m just fucking with you. That’s still one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard.

A visionary? What exactly did Durst envision? A six-year hiatus followed by by a flopped comeback album followed by a completely inexplicable signing to a rap label? Because if so then yes, that man is a fucking visionary of the first order.
