Twista Gets Chopped & Screwed on Speed On “Purple Swag Freestyle” (Listen & Download)

So halfway through Twista's "Purple Swag Freestyle" I'm thinking to myself "I sure am glad that Twista isn't rapping at a speed of 200 syllables per second on this one." But then I get to the second verse and it sounds like Twista is quite literally rapping 400 syllables per second. It's almost as if a part of his verse was put on fast-forward, but it's Twista we're talking about here so I'm sure that wasn't the case.

For his "Purple Swag Freestyle" Twista borrows the beat from A$AP Rocky's heavily chopped and screwed "Purple Swag." And despite the fact that Twista turns up the speed to tremendous levels during that second verse, which subsequently makes my head feel like it wants to explode, I'm kind of digging this one. Twista's "Purple Swag Freestyle" will be featured on the rapper's upcoming mixtape with Don Cannon.
