Yes, T.I. & Big K.R.I.T.‘s “I’m Flexin” Really Exists, & It Really Is Dope (Listen & Download)

I've been hearing for weeks about this T.I. and Big K.R.I.T. single that was supposed to be dropping any moment now, but after multiple deadlines came and went I assumed that "I'm Flexin" had been Detoxed (until I actually hear it, I won't believe it exists). And then today....boom goes the dynamite. Not only is it really, it really is that dope. I'm so stoked off this I'm going to have to go outline style to keep my thoughts at least remotely organized:

1) We knew K.R.I.T. could produce some trunk-rattlers, but this shit right here is next level. No one's making bangers with soul production like Krizza right now, no one.

2) K.R.I.T.'s now worked with Ludacris, Bun B and T.I. From the underground heads to the superstars, we can officially say that he's one of the most widely respected artists in the South right now, right?

3) I'll take T.I. raps like "Flexin" any day of the week. No one has more swagger than TIP, and I mean "swagger" in the original sense, not the Lil B sense.

4) With the possible exception of Ghostface, T.I.'s also got hands down the best ad-libs in the game. He says some hilarious shit, but he does it so hard a lot of people don't even notice. I mean, what other rapper would reference classic game show Press Your Luck: "Big bucks, no whammys dog."

On a closing note, I really, really, really hope his "Prison ain't changed shit!" pronouncement is just bluster. I'd be more than happy to hear rhymes like this for the rest of his career, but unless T.I. can stop getting locked up every other week it really won't matter won't music the man makes. Come on T.I., just stop getting arrested. It can't be that hard. Call me, I can help.
