To sum up Thurz' latest record, "Another Number," I'll use a direct quote from the rapper and that is "ho is not short for honey." With help from Chi-Town crooner BJ The Chicago Kid, Thurz tells a cautionary tale of the dreaded but familiar gold digger on "Another Number." Although your typical gold digger cut usually borders on predictable and a tad boring, (guy falls in love with girl, girl takes all guys money, guy is now sad and angry) Thurz manages to keep his record pretty enjoyable thanks to his clever storytelling and BJ's welcoming vocals.

The production, which comes courtesy of Los Angeles producer THX, initially sounded like it was on its way to becoming an all out eighties extravaganza in those first few seconds. Thankfully though, a little bass kicks in as does BJ's distant-sounding vocals and we've immediately found ourselves back in 2012.

"Another Number" will be featured on Thurz' "517 W Queen Tape" project which is currently without a release date.
