The Weeknd Shows Drake His “Birthday Suit”...Pause (Listen & Download)

Before anyone knew who the fuck The Weeknd was, before he appeared on our pages ("Who the Fuck is The Weeknd"), before he got the Drake co-sign and before "House of Balolons" became the year's best rehab-R&B mixtape, he was just another dude hoping superstar Drizzy would someday rhyme on his tracks.

Now that Drake and The Weeknd are in the studio we can only assume that means we'll be hearing a collaboration on Aubrey's next album, but in the meantime we have a pretty decent idea of how the final product will sound in "Birthday Suit". Recorded way back in 2009 (I think they were still riding around on horses then), "Birthday Suit" was a demo The Weeknd, or more accurately his production team The Noise, recorded especially for Drake, and you can tell. Gone are the hazed out drug references, replaced instead by The-Dream sounding calls to bedroom action.

I won't front, I fucks with that "House of Balloons" tape heavy, and this isn't half-bad, but the new stuff needs to sound better. Especially that rap, it's terrible. Horny like a rhino? Really? Thoughts from RefinedHype Nation? (Props to Complex for the research.)
