Incredibly Specific Playlist: Thanksgiving Dinner With Your Family Edition

Posted by Lucas Garrison on 10/31/13 | Filed under Streams, Incredibly Specific Playlists

There ain’t nothing like a good playlist. What music you choose for a BBQ, birthday, vacation or wedding can make or break the experience; no pressure. Thankfully the internet is full of wonderful, amazing playlists for weddings, workouts, and any other big event, but what about those smaller, more obscure events than need some music just as bad?

Maybe it's annoying and kind of a dick move, but no matter where I am, if there is music to be played, I need to be in control of it. Even if that place is a friend’s car or a party; I need to be picking the music. I try not to be a music snob, but I just can’t help it. I love playing music for people. I run into trouble on family gatherings because, while I am happy to listen to Danny Brown’s “Torture” or “Colt 45”, somehow I don’t think my grandma would be too happy.  So what do you do if you need some dope music for your Thanksgiving dinner but you gotta keep it PG? Simply press play on this playlist and gorge on turkey without worrying about an errant f-bomb ruining the dinner (unless sit comes form your uncle who has had a bit too much to drink, then you are on your own). It's time for the "Incredibly Specific Playlist: Thanksgiving Dinner With Your Family Edition".

Well there you have it, a playlist that the whole family can enjoy. I chose as many hip-hop songs as possible, but your parent’s probably don’t pop mollys or hit the club so I had to branch out just a little. It might not all be hip-hop but I think you’ll find a nice blend of stuff with some hip-hop snuck in there. Anyway, enjoy the holidays and if you actually do play your family Danny Brown or Afroman, a slice of pumpkin pie is on me.
