Any music video that involves a 40-year-old rapper playing the role of a high school student is obviously going to warrant a few laughs. While the music video for “Young, Wild & Free” wasn’t as entertaining as I thought it’d be, Snoop Dogg portraying the role of a weed-smoking high school student is more than good reason for a video breakdown.

0:04 – Hmm, is that a short bus you just stepped off of Mr. Khalifa?

0:06 – Why is Snoop Dogg riding a bike through a high school hallway? Wait…why is Snoop in a high school period?!

0:09 – I don’t think it gets much nerdier than timidly bumping into the kid in the wheelchair.

0:19 – I’m not quite sure how I feel about Snoop being on a song called “Young, Wild & Free.” Emphasis on the “young” part.

0:37 – Really Snoop? Getting high in chemistry class? At the age of 40?

0:49 – This scene is giving me a strong “Otis” vibe.

1:40 – With the sparklers and fog this scene reminds of yet another Kanye West video. Can’t seem to put my finger on which one though.

1:49 – Anyone else feel like the beat to “Young, Wild & Free” is just a little too mellow for a Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg song? I feel like it should be way more upbeat.

1:51 – Something tells me that elaborate drawing has something to do with weed.

2:20 – Where’s Bruno Mars? I’m sure he wants to be young, wild, and free too.

2:34 – Is he really getting high in one of those plastic bubbles? New ridiculous and possibly dangerous teenage trend in 5...4...3...

3:09 – I still can’t get over Snoop as a high schooler. Pretty hilarious stuff right there.
