Quick Hit: Rare Big L Interview, Courtesy of Whatever Karamel Video Jams Was (Video)

I love old interviews like this lost footage of Big L because it's a chance to watch history in motion. When L casually mentions that he's on tour with Biggie Smalls it's not a big deal, but Biggie wasn't yet a big deal. (No pun intended). When he says that Fat Joe is part of his Digggin in the Crates Crew no one but Joe and his family (and hardcore underground heads) would have been able to place a face to the name.

Shout out to Karamel Video Jams and their fucking fantastic early 90s video graphics. (Not a Rap Nerd? Don't know who Big L is? Look it up - long story short he was the rapper that a young Jay-Z and Biggie looked up to.)
