Nitty Scott, MC Channels Her Inner “Flower Child” With Help From Kendrick Lamar (Listen) Posted by Danielle Harling on 08/23/12 | Filed under Kendrick Lamar, Nitty Scott MC

Brooklyn rapper Nitty Scott, MC is really starting to show just how versatile she is with these last few cuts from her upcoming album, "The Boombox Diaries Vol. 1." Nitty's latest release, "Flower Child," finds the emcee in a "Bohemian daze" as she drops flowery verses on everything from maintaining her integrity to those dreaded Kardashian's. And with a record titled "Flower Child" it only makes sense that Nitty would recruit Black Hippy, Kendrick Lamar.

Despite the title there doesn't seem to be anything seventy's-inspired on the production end of the song, but producer Paul Boogie does create an almost trance-like vibe thanks to his heavy use of harps. While Nitty seems to maintain her flow throughout the song Kendrick entertainingly goes from angelic on the hook to almost demon-like on his verse as he jumps on the song with menacing vigor.

Nitty's "The Boombox Diaries Vol.1" will be available for purchase on iTunes beginning on August 28.
