I've got some good news, and I've got some bad news. The good news is that we've got some new music from Mos Def (aka Yasiin Bey)! The bad news is that it's old new music. Yep, "The Light Isn't Afraid of the Dark" was originally slated to appear on Mos' contractual obligation "True Magic" album, but was shelved for whatever reason. (I'm guessing because he didn't want to waste a Kanye West beat on a throwaway album.)

Whatever the story, I'm too much of a Mos stan not to replay even a video of a new verse over and over again, hopefully this will just be the beginning to new Bey* shit. I won't hold my breath, but I can hope.

And as long as we're talking about Mos and artists we almost never hear new music from, he and Jay Electronic also randomly popped up on this new Bullits joint.

* I can't seem to bring myself to always call the man Yasiin Bey, but I want to respect the name change, so I'll just use them interchangeably, just so everyone's as confused as possible all the time. Sound like a plan?
