Nelly Attempts To Put Himself Back On A Few Radars With “C-N-F,” But Unfortunately Falls Short Posted by Danielle Harling on 10/25/12 | Filed under Nelly

For the title of St. Louis spitter Nelly's newest record he chose the acronym "C-N-F," which stands for Country Ni**a Fly, but a more proper way of describing the record would probably be something along the lines of M-E-D-I-O-C-R-E. Now I like "Country Grammar" and "Nellyville" just as much as the next person, but "C-N-F" is a far cry from Nelly's past hits.

My main problem with "C-N-F" is that it sounds a lot like every other basic, Southern Hip-Hop song released in the past year or so. From the repetitive, sing-songy hook to Nelly's predictable lyricism, the song is just entirely too standard. And I think we've found yet another comeback record that falls short of meeting any expecations.

Now this is the part where I would normally make a joke about including a 2 Chainz verse on the song, but I'm pretty sure my sarcasm would probably lead to a remix featuring the man formerly known as Tity Boi so I'll chill on that one.
