Nappy Roots Are Swimming in a “Fishbowl” on New Album Leak (Listen/Download)

Back in my day (which wasn't all that long ago, believe it or not), the term "Fishbowl" referred to the practice of filling an automobile or other confined space with so much weed smoke that every breath got you more and more ripped, Ah, youth... Surprisingly, considering their well-documented love of the herb, the Nappy Roots aren't talking about marijuana on the latest leak off The Pursuit of Nappyness. In fact, this track, which features the swirling synth boardwork of Phivestarr Productions and DJ K.O., finds the Kentucky natives indulging in some adult beverages at the local nightspot.

To be fair, the overall vibe of this track is pretty trippy, maaaan. It's catchy for sure, and the Southern mainstays' flows are as on-point as ever, but is this cut's club-centric vibe a good look for the Nappy Roots? Either way, fans will able to hear plenty more on the group's senior album, set to arrive on store shelves June 15.
