Man on the Moon: End of Day (Scene 4 - Solo Dolo)

(Editor's note: RefinedHype is proud to present the fourth scene in our very own Jacques Morel's script for "Man on the Moon: End of Day", a screenplay accompaniment to Kid Cudi's groundbreaking album. Scene 3: Simple As

EXT. LIMBO. NIGHT.

SUBTITLE: SOLO DOLO

SCOTT is seen floating nude in fetal position through an infinite space. A tube is seen outstretched from his belly button. Darkness surrounds him. His eyes are closed.

SUBTITLE: LIMBO

CLOSE UP SCOTT’s HANDS

SCOTT clenches hands into a fist.

BACK TO SCENE

SCOTT continues to float through space. His leg kicks sharply. SCOTT mimics a fetus. He continues to float. Other people, nude in the fetal position, float pass SCOTT all in different directions. They give off the image as if SCOTT is resting on one large invisible conveyor belt, however floating with less structure.

SCOTT begins to shake. His leg kicks sharply once more. Slowly behind SCOTT, a nude Asian woman in her early twenties floats into SCOTT’s direction. They collide.

The Asian woman is then thrusted downward. SCOTT remains motionless as if he were never touched. Another woman hits SCOTT and moves upwards. This continues with other people. All in the fetal position, and all moving either upwards or downwards.

SCOTT continues to float. An ALARM is heard.

CLOSE UP CAUCASION GIRL

She has red hair. She is nude in the fetal position floating like SCOTT. However, she explodes.

BACK TO SCENE

Small explosions are seen in the background. The screen begins to shake. Light begins to flash in all directions. Loud NOISES are heard. HORNS and TRUMPETS BLARING in all directions are first heard. Then slight, calm, MUSIC. Finally, SCREAMING, CRYING, AND YELLING is heard. They alternate.

Suddenly, a light flickers in the distance. SCOTT is inexplicably whisked in the direction of the light. Slowly he moves along the invisible conveyor belt towards the light. People continue to move in and bounce off of SCOTT. No one follows him.

SCOTT gets closer to the light. The light then engulfs him.
