Hip-hop in the digital age is a strange thing, a lot of the traditional divides have been completely broken down. Ludacris would sell his left testicle to do a song with Justin Bieber, Krispy Kreme is my new favorite rapper and indie prince Mac Miller and mega-hit producer Pharrell are now doing entire EPs together.

The first off their upcoming "Pink Slime" project - click here if you don't get the "Pink Slime" reference - new release "Onaroll" proves that despite their difference, Mac and Skateboard P can make some pretty cohesive sounding music. Still, while on a purely theoretical level it's interesting to hear Mac rhyme over a beat that's an overt club hit, I'm just not really feeling it.

In other words, while I hoped the combination would be more like peanut butter and Nutella (fucking amazing), it's more like peanut butter and jelly' who hates peanut butter and jelly? By the same token though, who loves peanut butter and jelly?

Does that make any sense? Whatever, "Pink Slime" is set to drop sometime before "Detox". Until then, enjoy:
